Cornwall – The Beach
The strikingly beautiful coastline of north Cornwall is depicted herein this 1938 GWR Poster .
The Railway company Great Western Railways ( GWR ) issued over 100 posters of Cornwall with many of them in the years 1935-1939 before the start of WW2, when they heavily promoted their cheap rate monthly return tickets . The artist captures the spirit of holiday- making that appealed to the railways and its customers alike .
